A short history of teddy bears and Barbie
Teddy Bear is a stuffed toy bear and the U.S. president Theodore Roosevelt is the person behind the toy bear, while a Barbie doll is created by Ruth Handler. Both have their own toys origin and are famous throughout the world.
The history of the teddy bear goes back to an event in 1902, when Roosevelt helped Mississippi and Louisiana to settle their border disputes. While on a hunting during his spare time, pushed he injured a young bear and ordered their killing. This subsequently led to the creation of a stuffed animal toy bear named Teddy, because "Teddy" Roosevelt was the nickname.
Barbie was created in 1959 by Ruth Handler, co-founder of Mattel Fashion. The doll Barbie was named in honor of her daughter -, Barbara. When watching her daughter play with puppets, paper, notes Ruth loves the baby, then give adult roles. Back then, most dolls were babies looked like, and few were as an adult.
Ruth was inspired to a three-dimensional toys for adults paper dolls, that was changing clothes, but her husband was not happy with have the idea to create. A vacation in Germany changed their minds, however, Ruth was a doll named Lilli Germans, based on a comic, she bought three of them were to Barbara and the other two took to Mattel. Ruth had the revised Doll's body and gave him a new name - Barbie and her first introduction to the world was on the American Toy Fair in New York City March 1959.
There are several stories of those who was behind the production of the teddy bear toy to tell. The most popular Story was that the first official toy bear called teddy bear was made by Morris Michtom. He had a small candy store in Brooklyn in New York. Rose was his wife make teddy bears are sold in the store. Michtom sent a toy bear, and Roosevelt asked for permission to use the name of the teddy bear and he got a positive Reply from Roosevelt. There are also stories that he started with another company called Butler Brothers mass production of teddy bears, but no one is sure who the first made teddy bears.
Both toys are from their beginning and the famous favorite toy of children. Teddy Bear will now continue to sell, and it was a sale of around 350,000 Barbie dolls in the first year of production.
