Who to contact to get current value of older Barbie Doll collection?
I have a #6 Blonde Barbie, 1962? Ken (brown molded hair, red striped jacket, red trunks, and sandals), 1965 Skipper with bendable legs, black straight hair, brass headband, blue swimsuit, red slippers, 1965 Ricky with striped beach jacket, blue trunks, sandals. All have their stands. I also have several booklets, handmade clothing peices and a couple of unique accessories such as a Barbie doll for Skipper with the removeable gingham skirt, baseball, bat and rubber helmet for Ken, Small gray record player, guns and holsters for Barbie.
Go to your local Borders or Barnes and Noble and look at Doll Collector magazine. Or get on line to find a Barbie Collector Club in the neighborhood and check with them.
The problem is let's say that the Price Guide says that the 1965 Ricky goes for $300. A dealer will not buy it from you for $300. He will try and get it for $100
