I am sick and tired of the New Weather Channel. I want my old weather back!?
Ok, so its not really a "new weather channel", but I have noticed a steady decline of the network ever since they added that idiot who reads to me everything on my t.v. screen back in 2000.
It really got bad around 2008, and I cannot stand that Ken and Barbie duo in the morning, abrans and bettes.
Bettes should be at a frat party not on the weather channel.
Also, I am glad they canned the weather channel road crew, even tho that was way back.
By the way, I was 8 when I started watching, and I have tapes of the weather channel, and cry when I watch them.
In my opinion, the weather channel was at its best from 1992 until 1996. That is the year they added Atmospheres.
I cant believe they FIRED Dave Schwarz.

I agree, they should bring back the old Weather Channel programming format. It's a basic format that I think will still work today. When it first started in 1982, it was very primitive and raw. It improved gradually with time through the 80s and 90s. In my opinion, the programing format peaked between 1995-Y2K. It started to move away from the being the continuous 24 hour live weather broadcast station shortly after Y2K.
The introduction of these weather stories and news programs in 2003 continued this declined. I know these programs were added to save money, but I think they could of save money doing other things besides changing the basic format of TWC. These "weather stories" type programs should be broadcast on a new sister channel for those who are interested in these types of weather related programs.
I had hoped that when NBC bought the TWC in 2008, maybe we would see some improvements. But all that hope is now gone.
