Dressing Your Doll with Style
For most people, the dolls they own were bought with clothes and matching accessories. But for those of you who swear by "doing-it-yourself," you can create not only a unique doll, but also one that can be modeled after a particular theme. Dressing a doll does not have to cost you a fortune. It only takes a little time and patience to create a custom-dressed doll.
If you are going doll clothes shopping, pick out clothes that properly fit your doll. You may notice that some clothes will fit better on certain dolls than others. Depending on the manufacturing date, the bust and hip size may vary. Different clothing and doll brands are something to consider as well. Likewise, take an inventory of your doll clothes and make a list of the garments you need—jackets, evening wear, casual clothes, etc. This will keep you focused and prevent you from impulse buying. Also, choose solid pieces over patterns. Solids mix and match more easily and are less conspicuous than prints. Having more solids will make it seem like you have more wholesale doll clothing that you actually have.
Buying wholesale doll clothing may also save you more money than buying individual pieces. Furthermore, buy doll clothes on sale whenever possible. To save even more money, try hunting for doll clothes on garage sales. With a little bit of luck and a lot of persistence, you will eventually find quality pieces at affordable prices.
