Doll Restoration: How to lighten skin doll?
I create two custom dolls but I have a really hard time finding a Barbie with pale skin. The person I'm creating is very pale and the Midge Barbie has a very similar face to her, but she is not bright enough. The other doll should light as good or slightly tan and she is thinner than the pale. The Top Model Teresa would be great, but I'm still looking. Anyway, anyone have any recommendations (Hair Color Not matter, because I'll rerooting them) for dolls? It is also a way to lighten the skin a Barbie doll, without the painting? Incidentally rerooting is very time consuming, but I wonder whether human hair dye can be used on bleeding doll without hair or spots on the face?
I have a few experiments before replying Running of your question. I took an old barbie head must be treated with acetone and it did not affect the plastic. I use Salon Care 40 Vol Cream in the smaller bottle to remove marks and stains from the plastic. This is a bleaching agent, and it is to be painted on for a few days it is not a fast-acting product, it contains Hydrogen peroxide. The issue at hand is that the plastic makes the Barbie is pre-dyed before being formed so that it is not just a surface color all the way through it. If you are the kind of head and body paint with a professional airbrush paint with a plane, it can crack over time with the movement of the plastic. You can Kits , Where you can find your own forms and then you could control the color. Please remember, if the hair of her dying no hair, but out of plastic as well, so I poor doll would see a test on how the dye works on plastic. Always on tests run, even if you know very well what you are doing. Sunlight as well as bleach, But that takes time as well. I hope this has helped some. I have dolls for the repair of many years.
